Event Description
Come to Aspen/Snowmass for a fun filled week of events to celebrate Gay & Lesbian Ski Week. It is a full week of skiing and snowboarding on four of Colorado's superb mountains. Not to mention all the events that are in store when you arrive such as, daily apres-ski parties, fabulous nighttime events with world class DJ's, comedy night, downhill costume party and more. It is the 31th anniversay.Aspen Gay Ski Week 2009 is going to be fabulous, with a line-up that will prove to be one of our best in years! Opening Reception
"First Chance” For the early birds of ski week—please join us for an opening cocktail reception at this year’s headquarters and host hotel, the brand new Limelight Lodge. We have taken over the whole hotel and are transforming it into a chic venue for our opening party. It’s a chance to see the others who are here for the whole week and your first chance to make new friends and kick off the week in style. Don’t forget your swimsuit to enjoy the two twenty person hot tub...Hot!

"Pamper" Aspen Club and Spa day
The Aspen Club and Spa will be hosting us for the day, so pump up your cardio, take a class or a swim or pamper yourself with a massage or other offering at Aspen’s premier spa and gym. Monday is "Aspen Club Day" and we have discounts and special offers for you all week long. Tell them you’re with GSW to check in and book all services. Boutique Night Stroll
Take a leisurely stroll around downtown Aspen pick out some new duds at one of our participating unique boutiques! They’ll be open late from 6:30-9:30 and then we'll have some later night events. A portion of the evening’s sales directly benefit the Roaring Fork Gay & Lesbian Community Fund so splurge! You’ve earned it! See program for participating boutiques, locations and details.

Comedy Night
He who laughs loudest laughs best or she who laughs last laughs longest or something like that…Don’t miss our annual Comedy Night at the Historic Wheeler Opera House. Purple Reign at Belly Up
Straight from Vegas, Prince cover band with the works. You are in for a fabulous evening of dancing and partying to your favorite tunes of the 80's. Dress as Prince or any of the amazing characters in his entourage. Pull out the lace and make up, tonight is your night to shine. Tickets are available at Gay Ski Week Ticket Form. Downhill Costume Competition
This is such a popular event with our participants and locals alike. It’s SO much fun! Compete in the Downhill Costume Contest and try for the grand prize of $500. Or buy a table and have a real sit down. OR both! You can pick up some last minute costumes on the 2nd floor of Carl’s Pharmacy on Main Street, next to the Hotel Jerome. It’s more fun to participate than sit and watch so go to the website or Hospitality/Registration Suite to pick up an application so that you can both PLAY and WATCH!
Friday Night - DJ Dance Party, Belly Up - $25
Join us as we come together for the Bud Light Dance Party in partnership with the Belly Up. You asked for it and you got it, a world class dj, DJ Irene, to really kick off the weekend. DJ Irene is one of the world's most in-demand DJs, playing different clubs around the world every weekend with her own definitive style and releasing mixed CDs that have made her one of the biggest selling DJs ever. 450 S. "Icy Hot" Pool Party
One of our most popular events! We promise you a night to remember (if you can the next day!) See if you can make it all the way down the waterslide without spilling a drop of your martini! Be sure and bring a suit! Swoosh down the slide or grab a floatie and head down the "lazy river" drinks in hand. They’ll be a DJ for some musical accompaniment to your time in the hot tub or boards! See General Info section to arrange transportation. Ride the bus—all the cool kids will! Tickets are available at Gay Ski Week Ticket Form. Tickets are $95 (they will be $100 at the door)

Dining Extravaganza Friendship Dinners
We’ve got some of Aspen’s finest restaurants lined up so by the end of the week you’ll have sampled some of the best meals in the country. See program and calendar for more details and a schedule and description of the participating restaurants.
Meet on the Mountain
Meet up w/ some locals for a tour or find your companion for a day of the country’s best skiing and snowboarding terrain. There’s a "mountain of the day" so check the calendar of events for details.
Lunch on the Mountain
We’ve designated an on mountain restaurant as the official lunch-time spot each day.
"Cruise” Après Ski
This daily location will be the place to be each day as the mountain closes and we head into our evening events. See complete schedule for locations on mountain and in town. Oh, and don’t forget your swimsuit for the twenty person hot tubs at the Limelight Lodge…hot hot hot!

Social is back as our dedicated nightspot Sunday-Wednesday. Last year was good, this year will be great! See you there.
GAY SKI WEEK 2009 EVENT PASSES
Pass holders will receive priority access to all Gay Ski Week (GSW) events and parties. In the event of a sell-out, all pass holders will be admitted and those who remain will be admitted on a one-out, one-in basis. If available, single tickets for individual parties may be purchased at GSW Registration at our Host Hotel the Limelight Lodge (355 S. Monarch Street, Aspen )*. There will also be limited complimentary cocktails at selected parties and events, courtesy of our sponsors. Tickets are available at Gay Ski Week Ticket FormPatron Pass - $720
