Aspen Mountain (a.k.a. Ajax)
Rising out of the heart of downtown Aspen, Aspen Mountain serves up a vertical smorgasbord of double-black and gladed runs for skiers and snowboarders. Opened in 1947, Aspen Mountain's steeps, bumps and incredible views have been famous for decades.
Executive Chef Jim Butchart serves distinctive bistro food inspired by Colorado’s bounty of sustainably raised meats and produce. Guests are treated to innovative dishes such as Colorado lamb Bolognese, house-made charcuterie, pristine raw bar selections and daily specials. Cocktail hour brings out Ajax Tavern’s luscious cheese fondue, decadent Ajax truffle fries and other gourmet fare, all complemented by an abundance of fine wines and aperitifs. On Sunday nights, in addition to the a la carte menu, guests can partake in Sunday Night Supper, a prix-fixe menu for the entire table served family style.
Ajax Tavern is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations are taken for dinner only. Complete parties will be seated for lunch on a first come, first served basis.
In summer, the mountaintop venues are available for day and evening functions, hosting as many as 500 people. On winter evenings, the combined capacity is 500 people. The restaurants are operated by The Little Nell, a Five-Star, Five-Diamond hotel, renowned worldwide for impeccable service, attention to detail, and the finest cuisine. Summer or winter, for gatherings large or small, the top of Aspen Mountain is a grand setting for entertaining on a paramount scale.

Bonnie's restaurant, located on Aspen Mountain (upper mid-mountain), is popular for offerings such as white-bean chili and apple strudel. Its famous two-tiered outdoor deck is a favorite hangout spot. Open for lunch.Sundeck
